“Wiederhoeoft presents the Spring Spring 2021 collection: Mother Goose and all her silly little friends.”
Wiedernoeft brought the weird to New York Fashion Week this season with a six-act play. Cast with characters such as Little Bo Peep, Mother Goose, Miss Muffet, The Spider, Jack and Jill, and Girl with a Curl, Wiedernoeft brought whimsy, fantasy, and fabulousity to our screens.
Act I, Little Boe Peep, features a blue-haired model in a bell-shaped knee-length dress featuring a bodice made entirely of purple and black satin bows and a pink tulle underskirt complete with a pink and purple satin bonnet.
Act II, Mother Goose, features a snowy ice queen donning a sheer gown with a boned corset underneath. The gown is adorned with feathery pom poms a la goose feathers.
Act III, Miss Muffet, features a model donning a lilac sheer ruffled open front gown paired with a jade green and black lounge/lingerie set. Excellent choice of model for this look. Her skin glows brilliantly against the vibrant colors.
Act IV, the Spider, features a statuesque model donning a deep orange (almost brown) and black corset paired with a sheet black trumpet skirt featuring spikey spokes (similar to the spindly hairs on spider’s legs).
Act V, Jill, features a model in a yellow corset adorned with purple bow arm cuffs and a matching lilac Tudor collar.
Act, VI, Girl with a Curl, features a model donning a sheer puffy-sleeved blouse paired with a green and black trumpeted skirt made almost entirely of bows.
Well known for their fantasy fueled, fairy tail looks, Wiedernoeft is not foreign to lots of tulles, sheer fabric, and drama. They fit right into some of the latest trends.
