The annual Art Basel took place just last week and was swimming with celebrities enjoying the Miami weather. The Basel officially started December 4th and ran for about a week straight. The Art Basel, in case you did not know is an International art show for modern and contemporary art. Art enthusiasts or even just tourist can view paintings, sculptures, videos, prints, photography and even performances at the festival.
The celebrities were definitely there enjoying the festivities and even showcasing their own creativity.
Pamela Anderson was there showing off her new -do; a short pixie cut. Definitely, a huge change from what we are used to from the blonde beauty. Not only that, she went off the deep end and colored it brown! Anderson has just recently cut her long blonde mane back in October. My guess is that she is trying new things out since she is getting a little older. The cut is cute but I think her fans may need to take some time to get used to it.

P.Diddy, of course had to make a debut but was mistaken for Kanye West by art dealer/collector Jeffery Deitch. But, Diddy in high spirits laughed off the mistake since he and Deitch had just spent hours together in LA at one of Deitch’s street art shows. You can’t really blame Deitch, from a far, they kind of resemble each other, and in Deitch’s defense, Diddy’s back was turned so he couldn’t really see his face.

Speaking of Kanye, he was spotted at the Basel along side fiance Kim Kardashian and toting along baby North who was seen on instagram posing with artist Jeff Koons. Kim and Kanye of course were in their “couple” outfits. Kanye in all black and Kim in white lace. Maybe they are dressing the part of a bride and groom until they make it official.

Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie also reunited at the festival and it was great seeing them back together again. After 2 years of not being pictured together, the two were posing it up for the cameras at this years Basel. Paris instagramed a few pictures of her and Richie hashtagging #oldfriends #goodtimes. Although, Nicole was not quick to return the love on her instagram page, it was pretty clear that their previous feud is now over. Maybe “A Simple Life” my even make a comeback. Unfortunately, Paris also had to deal with tragedy while patching up things with her old friend when her younger brother Barron was caught in a confrontation with another man named Ray LeMoine who, is of course a close friend of Lindsay Lohan. Shocker. Allegedly, this attack on Barron Hilton was all Lohan’s idea. This just screams “To be continued”.

There were so many parties throughout the week. Eva Longoria and Serena Williams partied at the W hotel in Miami at a private dinner party hosted by Gerard Butler and Dom Pérignon, while other celebs such as Lionel Richie, Kanye, and Tommy Hilfiger Co-hosted the DuJour Magazine party which had Angela Simmons in attendance.

Although the Art Basel is full of lavish parties and events, the festival is also a way for these celebs to shop for art. In past years, Jay Z and Beyonce have been spotted buying art to add to their collections. Diddy has made a few purchases himself in the past. With so many works of art to choose from celebs and art enthusiasts alike can take their pick on amazing artwork from artists around the world.
