Russell Simmons held the 12th annual Art for Life benefit at his East Hampton estate with family and close friends. The charity supports art programs for inner- city kids. The fundraising gala was hosted by Soledad O’ Brien with Star Jones as an auctioneer. A few things that were auctioned off were an inclusive behind the scene sneak peak and meeting with Amy Wintour – Editor in Chief of Vogue magazine, also auctioned two VIP tickets to any 50 cent and Justin Timberlake Concert. How amazing! The creativity of a child’s imagination is plenty inspiration for the artist of today to support our future tomorrow.
This spectacular evening called to honor Mary J. Blige, president of JP Morgan Chase foundation Kimberely B.Davis, world renowned nutritionist and author Oz Garcia, co-founder of Jimmy Choo Tamara Mellon, and actor/ filmmaker Edward Norton for their career achievements and philanthropic works. The gift o giving continues to radiate as the growth o success continues.
Celebrity guests included LaLa Vazquez, Taraji P. Henson, Kevin Lilies, Jessica White, and Edward Norton among many others.
Our favorite song bird, the talented Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson entertained the guests. Her striking voice mesmerized the crowd and hopefully generated more checks for donations!
