The roster for this year’s honorees at The Fashion Group International’s “Night of Stars” gala in the fall has been made public.
On October 13, the 38th edition will honor “Artists and Icons” at Casa Cipriani on Cipriani South Street. Among the renowned will be Michael Kors, Christian Siriano, Prabal Gurung, Dionne Warwick. In front of what is anticipated to be an audience of over 300 people, Kors will receive the Superstar award, Siriano will be given the Fashion Star award, Gurung will be given the Humanitarian award, and Warwick will be given the Trailblazer award.
After founding his namesake brand in 1981, Kors has grown it into a multimillion dollar company with a wide range of brands and goods that go beyond clothing. The New York-based business has a devoted celebrity following that includes Selena Gomez and Kate Hudson in addition to having distinctive locations all around the world.
In addition to being well-known on social media, Siriano recently revealed he will open The Collective West boutique in Westport, Connecticut, where he lives. He most recently worked with Bleusalt to experiment with eco-friendly materials. The interiors of The Inn at Chagrin Falls in Chagrin Falls in Ohio, were also improved by the designer.
Gurung has a global fan base and a worldwide following, yet he still has a strong love for Nepal. He founded the Shikshya Foundation Nepal in 2011 with the aid of his family in an effort to better the lives of the country’s less fortunate children on a financial, emotional, and social level.
Six Grammys have been collected by the famous Warwick, who is also well-known for her work as an actor. When she was six years old, she began performing by joining a local choir. She still intends to go on a new musical tour even though she will turn 82 in December.
Sharon Chuter and Uoma Beauty will also be recognized with the Beauty award on “Night of Stars.” LoveShackFancy will get the Retail honorarium, and Firmenich will be given the Sustainability honorarium. The late Elvis Presley will be honored with the Fashion Oracle award, even though many people have been seeing the Baz Luhrmann-directed feature picture “Elvis” in theaters. According to Maryanne Grisz, president and chief executive officer of FGI, decisions are still being made about how to recognize Presley’s legacy and his impact on society, music, and movies. Presley passed away in 1977.
The presenters will be made public later. According to Grisz, the event this fall will also focus more on film and video creation.
There will be one notable missing near the step-and-repeat during this fall’s event, despite the FGI staff’s eagerness to spread the red carpet and promote the occasion. For the first time in years, Diane Clehane, the event’s longtime publicist, won’t be coordinating photo ops and interviews. Clehane, a journalist and royal biographer, passed away earlier this year.
