Beyoncé appeared on Australian television show Sunday Night HD this past Sunday when something out of the ordinary happened: As she sat down her baby bump appeared to crumble and fold under her dress.

Bloggers have been accusing her of wearing a fake belly for dramatic effects for weeks. This all started from her MTV Video Music Awards appearance when she ‘debuted’ her pregnancy. What doesn’t help is how Solange announced that Jay-Z and Beyoncé know the sex of their child…even though she is only 6 weeks pregnant. Between this and being accused of plagarism by a Belgian choreographer over the music video “Countdown” this is NOT Bey’s week.
BRUSSELS – Pop superstar Beyonce was facing the prospect of legal action Monday after being accused of stealing dance moves for her new “Countdown” video.
Belgian dancer-choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, one of the biggest names in modern dance, believes the pregnant American star has clearly plagiarized her work.
“I didn’t know anything about this. I’m not mad, but this is plagiarism. This is stealing,” Keersmaeker told a Danish blog, according to The (London) Times.
“What’s rude about it is that they don’t even bother about hiding it. They seem to think they could do it because it’s a famous work … Am I honored? Look, I’ve seen local school kids doing this. That’s a lot more beautiful.”
In a further blog posting, she said, “Like so many people, I was extremely surprised when I got a message through Facebook about the special appearance of my two choreographies – ‘Rosas danst Rosas’ (1983) and ‘Achterland’ (1990) — in Beyonce’s new videoclip ‘Countdown.’
“When I saw the actual video, I was struck by the resemblance of Beyonce’s clip not only with the movements from ‘Rosas danst Rosas,’ but also with the costumes, the set and even the shots from the film by Thierry De Mey. – Source
This is a mess. How will her team cover these things up? A tour? Collector’s DVD? House of Dereon Maternity Line?
