Ulbricht’s first NFT collection that shows his personal work will be sold on the NFT platform Superrare, and the collection curated by Entoptic will be Ulbricht’s first NFT collection that showcases his personal work.
NFTs Are Causing A Stir in the Art World
Over the last few months, we’ve seen more than a dozen stories about NFTs. They have been blowing up the art world that a crypto fanatic believes they are forever transforming the art world. So much that if you search for Leonardo da Vinci’s masterpiece — Salvator Mundi — it will show you the most expensive artwork and tracking down its amazing path.
NFTs have recently been linked to a wide range of creative works, including music albums, tweets, photos, paintings, and collectibles such as baseball cards. This technology is being used by everyone from Grimes to Kings of Leon to the NBA.
Consider the Mona Lisa, a one-of-a-kind work of art. It can’t be exchanged for a Mona Lisa poster in the Louvre gift shop, obviously, because the poster isn’t worth the same as the real artwork.
When a buyer buys an NFT for a creative work, the tokens are added to the buyer’s digital wallet, but ownership of the artwork becomes more complicated. As a result, because this is a developing business, while purchasing an NFT, the buyer should be aware of the digital contract and copyright ownership.
It’s also feasible that NFTs may be linked to counterfeiting or will be reproduced without the authorization of the original creator. In that circumstance, we may have to rely on traditional methods of artwork verification.
Unauthorized replication of art is a problem for several NFT websites, including OpenSea.
