The Belinda Baidoo Foundation and Witness HOPE organization held their Charity fashion show at Clyde Frazier’s Wine and Dine on June 24th 2013, to raise money for Ghanaian children. While The Belinda Baidoo Foundation raised money for the Ohemaa Healthcare Orphanage, which will give them additional funds to put towards clothes, food and books for their orphans; the Witness HOPE organization plans on helping child athletes have the equipment and tools they need to perform both in their sports and the classroom.
The fashion show featured stunning designs by NY’s top Ghanaian designers, The DPiper Twins, and guests were treated to a sneak peek preview of their highly anticipated fall 2014 collection. Their new pieces included elements never seen before on the DPiper twins runway, like embossed leather and shining colored sequins juxtaposed with ‘see thru’ mesh. The twins also incorporated elements that their fans know and love, like vibrant African wax print in fun and flirty silhouettes and new renditions of their smash hit the “Shanti” top. Belinda also showed her line, Belindabeedagel, with great pieces for both men and women in traditional African wax print cloth and designs.
Distinguished guests in attendance were US senator Bill Perkins and his wife, Miss Tanzania and model Millen Magese, fashion stylist Rosemary Kokuhilwa, selected Miss Ghana USA contestants and top model Flaviana Matata. All in all guests were treated to a killer fashion show, delicious drinks sponsored by Clyde Frazier’s, and music by prominent New York DJ, Kris Graham.
