Keke Palmer, who stars in Jordan Peele’s upcoming film Noe, has signed on to host the NBC version of the classic game show Password.
Palmer, who has been in shows including Scream Queens and Berlin Station as well as the feature picture Hustlers, will host the show, which will be hosted by Jimmy Fallon of the Tonight Show.
It comes nearly a year after the network gave the go-ahead for a revamp of the 1960s game show, which Fallon has incorporated into his late-night show.

Contestants will be paired with Fallon and other celebrities to compare in a game of words. The celebrity/contestant duos fight for cash prizes by guessing a secret password using only one-word clues in each of the eight hour-long episodes which Fallon will appear in.
Betty White, who appeared on the original series as well as Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, is regarded as on of Password’s best actors, and the inaugural episode will be dedicated to her.
A special episode featuring an all-celebrity lineup playing for charity will cap off the season.
Fremantle, in collaboration with Universal Television Alternative Studio and Electric Hot Dog, is producing Password. Executive producers will include Fallon, Jim Juvonen, and Jennifer Mullin, as well as John Quinn, who will also serve as showrunner.
Bob Stewart created Password for Goodson-Todman Productions, which is currently owned by Fremantle, the developer of American Idol. The show premiered on CBS in 1961 and lasted over 1,500 episodes until being moved to ABC in 1971. In 1979 and 1984, NBC revived the show, and in 2008, CBS created a primetime series call Million Dollar Password.
Fallon’s musical game program That’s My Jam has been revived for a second season on NBC and he also has EClash!’s of the Cover Bands.
