Rihanna may not have been present at fashion’s most important event, but she sure stole the show!

The singer missed the Met Gala in 2022 because she is expecting her first child with rapper boyfriend A$AP Rocky. That didn’t stop the Fenty Beauty creator from making a memorable entrance.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art and Vogue constructed a monument of the singer showing off her baby bulge at the famed museum on Monday night, just weeks after she graced the cover of the magazine.

Yes, it is as wonderful as it sounds.

“The statue of ‘Eirene (The Personification of Peace)’ is usually the highest-profile marble goddess @themetmuseum Greco-Roman galleries. But now we’ve got @badgalriri, straight off this month’s Vogue cover,” Vogue said on video posted on Instagram showing off Rihanna’s marble statue.

The singer and founder of Fenty Beauty was clearly moved by the gesture, reposting the video on her own Instagram.

“Shut down the met in marble! what’s more gilded than that? Lol!” Rihanna posting about it on Instagram. “Thank you @metmuseum and @voguemagazine for this historic tribute! y’all bad for this one!”

The video has over six million views and has thousands of Rihanna fans drooling.

“Wasn’t even in attendance & still made an impact! This is so cool,” a supporter wrote. Another person remarked, “Pulled up stoned without having to pull up! At the MET?! That’s legacy!”

“Yessssssss gilded marble. You served it honey! You was best dressed,” a fan commented.

“Could be the most famous pregnant lady of all time…,” one fan speculated.

No one can deny that Rihanna has consistently made “HistoRih” at previous Met Galas with her innovative interpretations of the year’s theme.

In September 2021, she wore a couture Balenciaga coatdress made by Demna Gvasalia, which she accessorized with a beanie, a diamond necklace, and a stunning crystal headpiece.

In 2018, the singer wore a high-low skirt and a headpiece atop a jewel-encrusted robe that gave off seductive Pope vibes to honor the year’s theme – “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.”

For the year 2017’s theme, “Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between,” the singer wore a vibrant dress with patterned ruffles by Comme des Garçons. She completed the ensemble with lace-up red heels, bangs, and an exaggerated pink blush.

Who can forget, of course, the singer’s iconic appearance from 2015: a luxuriously long yellow train made by Guo Pei for the year’s “China: Through the Looking Glass” theme.
