The latest Beauty Forecast study from Trendalytics has been released, so read on to find out what you can expect to see popular in 2023.

In the near future, these four primary trend trends may affect everything from hair and makeup to substances and package hues.

Brand intelligence is the focus of Trendalytics. The company has a special algorithm for finding trends. The lifespan of a trend is used to classify it as “emerging” or “safe bets,” respectively.

It is mentioned in each trend described below as an “emerging” trend or a “safe bet,” and several trends are included in each trend report. Emerging trends, according to Trendalytics, have higher growth potential, whereas safe bets have been, and are projected to continue, to experience growth.

#1—New Natural

Hydrating formulations, sleek ponytails, minimum makeup, and cool tones like ice blue, taupe, and peach characterize the New Natural aesthetic. As Trendalytics puts it, this is an “evolved clean” aesthetic that emphasizes diversity and celebrates individuality.

Makeup containing skincare elements, sheer formulations, and “glazed donut skin” belong to the “New Natural” aesthetic. Check out the almost 93 million views of the #CleanLook hashtag on TikTok.

Several skincare companies, such as Dr. Barbara Sturm, Drunk Elephant, and Sunday Riley, have expanded into the haircare market, as noted in a recent analysis by Trendalytics.

Rhode, a brand to keep an eye on, will debut in June 2022.

#2—Nocturne

The Nocturne trend “finds beauty in all that happens after dark,” as stated by Trendalytics. ‘Indie Sleaze,’ a reimagining of grunge, is featured. The report uses HBO’s Euphoria as an example of this tendency, noting that it “has successfully created its own aesthetic identity,”

According to Trendalytics, this range of colors is meant to “reflect the dichotomy of glam and grunge,” A range of colors from lime green to onyx black and burgundy can be seen.

Keep an eye out for 4AM Skin, a brand with a heart for the LGBTQ+ community sparked by “club culture.”

“Verano” is about getting back to basics by using natural materials and practicing traditions from one’s Latinx heritage. The colors are vibrant and tropical, ranging from terracotta and marigold to sage green.

The ‘beachy’ aesthetic, characterized by wavy hair, natural makeup, and sea-inspired fragrances, is also featured in this trend report. Markets and street art in countries like India, Madagascar, and Mexico, which are examples of global influences, will also play a role.
