Designers Raisa & Vanessa Sason (by twin sisters) invited us to “The Lake House” to view their Spring Summer 2021 collection. The location to die for! The collection, to live for!
Designed at the Raisavanessa atelier in Istanbul, Turkey, this collection feels different from what we have seen this season. The 80s pop soundtrack perfectly matches the inspiring era of this collection. The mixture of high-quality fabrics and rich textures create a luxe vibe unmatched by most designs we’ve seen this week.
Each look is accessorized with coordinating sunglasses, durags, and headwraps, dangling earrings, or chunky gold bangles. Down to the details, the collection screams, “welcome back to the ’80s!”
It is challenging to pick collection standouts because the entire collection is so fabulous!
So here are standouts for each category:
The standout skirt is this skater skirt that looks almost exactly like a seashell (not sure if this was intentional or unintentional on the designer’s part).
For two-piece sets, these striped skirt sets standout amongst the rest for their classic beachy patterns mixed with head-to-toe color coordination
This jumpsuit is essentially a spring/summer staple! Paired with this glam belt, it can be worn to the beach and to a nice seafood dinner afterward.
Amongst the various gowns, this one stood out for its victorian-esque shape. The corset bodice, paired with a sarong-style skirt is a perfect pairing.
Just when you think you’ve seen everything, strutting down the runway comes a fierce model donning a candy pink suit (with matching bra top)! The gold chain belt is the perfect accessory.
There are countless mini dresses, but this one stands out with its ruffled neckline and thigh-high slit.
With these looks, Raisavanessa may have cemented themselves as one of the top fashion shows this season.
