Oqliq, a menswear brand hailing from Taiwan, debuted a fashionable yet functional collection titled the “Omni Direction” collection this past Thursday at Spring Studios. The F/W 2020 collection captured the designer’s idea of outdoorsy ensembles combined with sharp tailoring. Each piece featured deep pockets and weatherproof fabrics.
The collection colors reflected earth-toned nudes and neutrals reminiscent of a woodsy environment: olive greens, pale tans, deep navy blues, and brownish burgundy. The art of layering for Fall was perfected by the Oqliq designer with vests layered over windbreaker jackets, double hoodies, and cardigans paired with parkas.
While Oqliq has a history of focusing on men’s clothing, a lone woman walked the show displaying a unisex approach to the assumed menswear pieces. Models donned sleek and slicked back hairstyles paired with barely-there makeup aligning with the collection’s approach to minimalism and sharp lines.
A collection standout: the blue and gray patchwork windbreaker with multiple zippered pockets.
