Opening with a special message in regards to the coronavirus crisis in China, the show began with a somber yet powerful chorus of “Get it China”.
It was all in the details at the Mukzin x Harbin’s Fall/Winter 2020 NYFW show. Each look boasted a unique fusion of Chinese and “western” culture featuring jeans paired with a high neck Cheongsam, cowboy boots, and the occasional geta (traditional Japanese sandals).

With deep attention to detail, the accessories ranged from functional to extremely fashionable including chain headband/face mask, wine gourd purses, and a lime green hand muff.

The vibrant colors in the collection reminiscent of melons showed hope for the continued use of colors and pastels in the Fall/Winter months.
The designers took simple staple pieces to new levels with unique twists like two-piece sets featuring traditional Chinese fabrics, dressed up hoodies with embellishments and tassels, and Chanel-esque skirt sets featuring extra-high thigh slits.

What’s next for Harbin x Mukzin? We hope to see these blissful colors incorporated into the S/S collection.
