Who said menswear was just for men? One of the funnest and most versatile trends that appeared during Fashion Month was menswear, for women. We are talking more suits, suits and more suits! From New York to Milan, designers sent one unique piece after the other down the runway reminding fashionistas everywhere that in fashion, we are meant to break the mold. But these are not your average suits. We are seeing satin suits, short suits, suits with cutouts and dazzling sequins, suits with painstakingly detailed embroidery, a few floral suits, and even a hoodie suit. There is a suit out there for just about everyone! Here are some of our favorites:
At the Christopher John Rogers NYFW show, this jade number stunned! By adding a bit of vibrance, tailoring, and of course a feminine accessory, this suit went from a simple tuxedo to a stunning statement piece.
In Paris, Balmain models brought even more color to the runway with suits reminiscent of a rainbow of tulips and chic white piping. I would eat, sleep, and die in one of these suits! #BuryMeInBalmain
Chanel graced our eyes with a modern twist on the classic tweed suit. Apparently, spring and summer are not the only seasons for rompers!
Designers at Alexander McQueen managed to combine two of fall’s hottest trends: suits and leather. This all-black ensemble is both edgy and sexy.
We can not forget about street style! Check out these fuzionistas in sickening two-piece numbers!
We can not wait to incorporate this trend into our wardrobes.
