New York– The road to Super Bowl 54 has started and today news broke out that Jennifer Lopez and Shakira reached a deal and will be performing the halftime show.
A couple of weeks ago Lopez has stated that performing during the halftime show will be a dream come true. It looks like her dream did come true and Lopez is very excited about the opportunity.
“Ever since I saw Diana Ross fly off into the sky at the Halftime Show, I dreamed of performing at the Super Bowl,” said Lopez. “And now it’s made even more special not only because it’s the NFL’s 100th season, but also because I am performing with a fellow Latina. I can’t wait to show what us girls can do on the world’s biggest stage.”
This year, the Superbowl will be in Miami and there may be some surprises that Lopez and Shakira will throw out. Since it is in Miami, viewers should expect some artist who are from the Miami area to come out and perform.
It is speculation that Pitbull may perform with them, but right now it is just speculation.
Last year Marron 5 performed at the halftime show and there was a lot of criticism about there performance because a lot of people felt like an artist from the ATL area should have been the headline.
It should be interesting to see what both of these artists will come up with to make it a memorable halftime show.
