New York- Singer Demi Lovato decided to get baptized in the Jordan River this past weekend and she said she felt renewed.
Lovato is no stranger to overcoming adversity and trials and tribulations, but recently she has taken a different approach with getting herself back on track. She wanted to be fulfilled with something humanity did not give her and that was love, purpose, and faith; she decided to get baptized in the Jordan River and felt renewed.
“There is something absolutely magical about Israel,” said Lovato. “I’ve never felt such a sense of spirituality or connection to God … something I’ve been missing for a few years now. Spirituality is so important to me … to be baptized in the Jordan river – the same place Jesus was baptized – I’ve never felt more renewed in my life.”
Lovato comes from a religious background and just wanted to get back to her roots. She was very inspired by what she saw and took an opportunity to capture certain moments that took her breath away.
On her Twitter page, this is what she had to say about her trip. “This trip has been so important for my well-being, my heart, and my soul,” Lovato wrote. “I’m grateful for the memories made and the opportunity to be able to fill the God-sized hole in my heart. Thank you for having me, Israel 💗.”
Lovato’s testimony is what everyone goes through in life; the ups and downs, but when you are at the lowest part of your life, what do you have to get you out of the darkness. Will it be a great support system, faith, God, or simply being a better individual for yourself.
