We got to escape the hustle and bustle of New York city and were transferred right into the beautiful tropics at the Nicole Miller fashion show.
The SS15 collection was inspired by the designer’s various trips to Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro. The lively silhouettes brought a flirty feel to the resort-like line. Ruffle-like pleats added sass to the skirt and embellishments adorned necklines and sleeves with clever placement. Her re-imagined memories turned into patterns piled on for punch. Florals and fruits provided color pops against stripes and solids creating a uniquely enthralling exposition.
Fashion week veteran Miller has long been popular with socialites and celebrities on the style circuit. This season was no different as the packed house with front row including Carol Alt, Katie Cassidy and Tinsley Mortimer, plus Jackie Cruz, Kimiko Glenn, and Selenis Leyva from HBO’s “Orange is the New Black.”
