Mack Wilds is best known for his acting making a name for himself in such roles as Michael Lee on the HBO original drama series The Wire and as Dixon Wilson on the CW drama series 90210. Now with his debut album New York: A Love Story Mack has establishes himself as a raising star in the music industry as well. As a singer/songwriter/rapper Mack’s talent can not be denied and is displayed throughout his debut. The first single “Own It” was co-written with superstar Ne-Yo and is topping the R&B charts. Adding to New York: A Love Story appeal is the star studded list of producers and rappers featured on the album.
Mack is the first signee to Grammy-Nominated producer SalaAM ReMi’s newly launched imprint group, Re Mi Fa/Louder Than Life, through Sony Music. New York: A Love Story features 13 original tracks from the Staten Island native, each one showcases Mack‘s diverse talent. The album features production from some of New York’s best including Havoc, Pete Rock and DJ Premier, as well as SalaAM ReMi. In addition, legendary New York rappers Method Man, Raekwon and Doug E Fresh are featured on the album. Mack has eloquently described New York: A Love Story as a hip-hop-centered, R&B-laced tale of love and loss. Needless to say Mack’s debut is a must have for Hip Hop and R&B fans alike.
