Rihanna was accused of allegedly copying photographs by a photographer David LaChapelle. The photos were used in her S&M video. LaChappelle was able to get this to trial to receive justice for his stolen photos.
The case was going to trial when they reached a settlement. The dispute was settled with an “undisclosed amount”, which LaChappelle was happy with according to the New York Post.
However, Rihanna still in hot water because she apparently stole art work from another photographer Philipp Paulus. This dispute is still unresolved.
