Labor Day has come and gone, which can mean only one thing…summer has unofficially ended.  That’s the unfortunate news. The better news is the plethora of parties, cookouts, and parades that occur during this final weekend of heat in New York City. On Labor Day, I thought it would be cool to go out, take some pictures, and of course have a good time. The event in question was an annual block party in Soho, Manhattan, where a local independent music label called Fool’s Gold offered up music, beer, grilled eats, and good old fashioned fun.

Fool’s Gold Records is the brainchild of Canadian electronic music star A-Trak and DJ Nick Catchdubs. Based out of Brooklyn, the duo has enlisted top level talent such as Danny Brown, Chromeo, The Cool Kids, Kid Sister amongst others. Kid Cudi was also an affiliate of Fool’s Gold before signing with G.O.O.D. Music in 2008. So coming in, I had a feeling that this was going to be an awesome party, and it definitely did not disappoint. Juicy J from Three Six Mafia came and did his thing, Just Blaze played a set, AraabMuzik from Dipset blessed the crowd, and the energy was absolutely crazy. Check out the pictures below!
